Teresa Cebrián was born in Losa del Obispo, Valencia, in 1957 and graduated with a degree in Sculture in 1983 from the School of Fine Arts at UPV (Polytechnic University of Valencia).
Cebrián has received various artist-in-residence scholarships for: la Chambre Blanche, Quebec in 2004; Denkmalschmiede Höfgen, Grimma, Leipzig, Germany, in 2006. Bridgeguard Art Centre, Stúrovo-Esztergom, Hungary-Slovakia in 2007, with the projet “The Bridge of Words”; and at Stadtmühle Willisau, Albert Koechin Foundation, Willisau, Switzerland in 2009.
